Trackspeed Racing, headed by businessman David Ashburn have been incredibly successful in
motorsport since their formation at the start of 2005.

After a year of learning and growing whilst competing in the British GT Championship and
Porsche Carerra Cup, the team was well prepared to start its first full season in 2006.

2006 culminated in the team becoming British GT Champions. Taking no fewer than 8 wins and
12 podiums including an amazing total podium lock-out at Snetterton where Trackspeed cars
and drivers finished First, Second and Third.

For 2007 the team faces its greatest challenge to date, the prestigious European FIA GT3
Championship. In addition to this the team will again contest the British GT Championship with
the aim of repeating its 2006 championship success.

In order to prepare for this new era the team has been strengthened massively by the
appointment of James Tompkins, an enormously experienced team manager and crew chief.
James’ experience with Porsche dates back 15 years following long term involvement with the
EMKA and Sebah teams. Both teams have enjoyed Porsche factory support and achieved
major success at FIA and LMES level.

James will be backed up by an experienced crew including Gary Greenstreet who has worked with
James as a number one mechanic at both teams over the past 6 years.

Tim will act as a consultant to the team whilst also taking the role as driver coach and strategist

at tests and race meetings.
